Who is the Head of School?

Dr Knight is an accomplished international school leader with a strong academic foundation in education. His career includes significant leadership roles at prestigious British international schools. He served as Head of Secondary at the British School of Brussels from 2019 to 2023, after earlier positions there, such as IB Coordinator and Deputy Head of School since 2006. In August 2023, he became Principal and CEO of St George’s British International School in Rome, where he led strategic, academic, and cultural transformations across the two campus school while emphasising inclusivity and holistic student growth.

For the last two decades, Dr Knight has worked in not-for-profit schools with a very similar ethos and approach to that of Alice Smith and has been a member of key International School organisations such as COBIS, AoBSO and HMC. Dr Knight is currently Secretary of the HMC International Division which includes more than 70 of the world's leading international Schools as members and in 2027 will take up the role of Chair of the International Division.
